Note to Men Taking a Kickboxing Class

If you’re embarassed to do high-kicks, go do some freeweights. Don’t start making up your own really strange shadowboxing/punching/Mortal Kombat routine every time we do more kicks. And DON’T stand in the front row, where you confuse everyone behind you.

So where's the telethon, donation text-in, and We Are the World remake for Russia?

… or is Russia totes not cool enough for Vince Vaughn and Justin Beiber?

Fun with Google Analytics

Apparently there’s a link to my blog on my sorority chapter’s blog.

For the AXOs I actually know… HIII!!!

And the ones I don’t know/never met… you now know more about me than I’ll never know about you. Creepy. Awesome. Awesomely creepy.

Another fun fact: when you Google the phrase “hate whipped cream,” guess who comes up first?!

What It's Like Being from an Unhealthy/Not Active Family
  • From Sunday. Spot the ignorance.
  • Me: I ran 3 miles straight today! That means I can hack it at my 5k!
  • Dad: Don't go getting all anorexic on me.
  • Me: Wait... what?

Things That Make Me Happy (In No Particular Order)
  1. Watching the sun set between the palm trees on Hollywood Blvd.
  2. Making my evening commute in 15 minutes.
  3. Finding $20 on the ground.
  4. Going home in 3 days.
  5. Running 2 miles after work (and sprinting!).
  6. Dining al fresco after said run.
  7. Cheesy CW and ABC Family shows.
  8. Really, really long bubble baths for sore muscles.

The little things, people.

Watch Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution on Hulu. → hulu.com

It’s pretty sad how terrible a lot people’s nutrition is today, but what’s even worse is that they’re passing it on to their children.

There IS such a thing as eating healthy on a budget (be it a financial budget, time budget, or both). Frozen vegetables, for example, may not be as nutrient-packed as fresh veggies… but they’re better than french fries and powdered mashed potatoes.

OK… done with the ranting. Watch his show, though.

    California - Phantom Planet

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t listen to this song yesterday with my windows down, sunroof back, and the sun pouring into my car.

I Knew You Were Useful for Something...

After trying to decide whether it was worth drinking coffee at 7:30 to make it through laundry and packing (it’s been a long day), my brother suggested listening to this playlist as a natural stimulant.

    Totes worked.

An impromptu comedy show, a 12-hour beach day, and another delish turkey burger from The Counter.

    Perfect. Weekend.
